Southwest Louisiana Transmission Infrastructure Upgrade

Crews have completed installing some of the new structures along the southbound lane of La. Highway 395, north of La. Highway 102. However, crews will have to return to this area in summer 2019 to finish installing the remaining structures and to pull the new conductor on the new structures along Highway 102 east/ west and Highway 395 north/ south.

Crews are currently working in various areas installing the new structures along Atterberry, Hayes, Johnny Benoit and Grand Marias roads. Please note that crews will be working in these areas over the next few weeks. Crews are also in the process of pulling in the new conductors/ wires along Highway 99 to the new Henning Substation. Entergy asks that the traveling public use caution when approaching the work zones and abide by the posted signage and flaggers to keep both the crews and your neighbors safe.

Construction is underway on Entergy Louisiana’s technological upgrade to its electric power transmission grid in Jefferson Davis Parish. The project will enhance reliability, increase transmission capacity and help ensure the availability of affordable power now and into the future for the parish. The maps below outline the areas affected by the projects.
